Noblitt named 2011 Male Philanthropist of the Year

More than 140 people turned out for Orange County Community Foundation’s 2011 Donor Appreciation Event, held again this year at the French Lick Springs Resort. Highlight of the evening included the naming of John Noblitt of Orleans as 2011 Male Philanthropist of the Year.

Also recognized throughout the evening were this year’s Female Philanthropist, Loretta Drake, and Emerging Philanthropist, Holly Vincent. Reports were heard from representatives of the supporting organizations—Orange County Commissioners, Saving Historic Orange County, and Sol Strauss–as well as from the Orange County Development Commission.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary as an independent foundation, Orange County Community Foundation proudly displayed its colors by decorating with orange and with centerpieces of oranges with Christmas greenery. Updates from over the years were given by the Foundation’s investment counselor, C.P.A. and legal advisor; and Dedrick provided a brief history of the organization and listed its accomplishments from day one. Also recognized were past and present members of the Board of Directors.
